ABOUT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS

It is the oldest and founder School of Kisii University. It began as the Faculty of Commerce in 1999 with one degree program Bachelor of Business and Management (BBAM)  and one department under Egerton University. In 2001 the Bachelor of Commerce was introduced. Upon grant of Charter in 2013 the Faculty had grown offering more than six degree programs and two Masters programs. In 2015 the Senate ratified the change of name to School of Business and Economics. Currently the School has five departments offering more than ten degree programs at Undergraduate, Seven Masters programs and 3 PhD programs. The School has 72 faculty members and 10 administrative staff.
